CHÂTEAU OF CHAUMONT-SUR-LOIRE
TOUR OF THE
CHAUMONT-SUR-LOIRE ESTATE
Overlooking the Loire, the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire brings together heritage, contemporary art and exceptional landscapes in one remarkable setting.
Built in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, the château bears the mark of major historical figures such as Catherine de’ Medici, Diane de Poitiers and the Princess de Broglie. Its apartments, stables and grounds tell the story of several centuries of history.
Since 1992, the International Garden Festival has transformed the Domaine into a true laboratory for landscape design. Each year, artists and landscape designers create new gardens inspired by an original theme.
